Heroes and villains, also known colloquially as 'Capes', have been around for over
a century now and many famous historical figures were Capes. This is the story
of the people who populate London and how they try to exist on a day to day basis
as Heroes, Villains, neutral super-freaks, humans and sidekicks. There's plenty to be
done from all walks of life here as both sides battle it out for control of London.
On the side of the Heroes stands the SPA - Super Powers Authority. They're here
to maintain control in London and grant people licences for becoming Superheroes
and heroic sidekicks. They punish heroes who take advantage of their powers in a
morally grey way and have a secure jail for Villains which neutralises their powers
to prevent escape.
On the other side is the Mafia. Tony and his family came over from Milan in Italy to
start a life in London, living life through underhanded ways. 90% of all criminal activity
ultimately ends up being linked to someone in that family. The Don, also known in the
underworld as "Papa Smurf" owns a lot of businesses on the East side of London and is
looking to expand into the North, and ultimately throughout the whole of London. He
employs a lot a Villains and sidekicks to help him achieve his goals.
There are also those with powers that don't deal with the battle between the Mafia and
the SPA. These on-the-fencers just live life doing what they want, when they want and
how they want. They don't start off as sidekicks and never ascend into hero or villainous
ranks. Some get powerful and piss on anyone who tries anything funny, but others prefer
to just not pay any mind to either side of the war.
And here is where you come in. All people with powers are sent to the Superhero Academy
where they get initially trained up in the basics of their power. The Academy wants all that
they train to become Heroes of the calibre of Excelsor, also known as Devlin, but some do slip
into the dark side of live, choosing as soon as they graduate to align with the Mafia.
You start your adventure as a fresh graduate of the Superhero Academy.
